Maria Gutierrez-Arcelus

PhD Student

I have been part of the lab in short periods as an undergraduate student and as a rotation PhD student, and then officially started my PhD thesis in October 2010. During the thesis I have been mainly involved in the GenCord project in which we are studying the genetics and epigenetics of gene regulation in several cell-types. I have also fulfilled nascent transcriptome experiments in a trio family for the SYNERGIA project, which studies the heritability of several epigenetic marks and different levels of the transcriptome. I am interested in pursuing research on functional genomics and epigenomics to better understand gene regulation.
